About the association |
The Norwegian Public Health Association (NOPHA) is an interdisciplinary organisation promoting public health through research, training, policy development and practice. We focus on lifestyle, healthy environment and alleviating inequalities in health.
NOPHA is a member of the European Public Health Association (EUPHA) and the World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA).
The Norwegian Public Health Association was founded in 1998 and has over 150 members who receive the European Journal of Public Health four times a year and the Scandinavian Journal of Public Health six times a year. Each year we organise a seminar that focuses on current issues concerning public health. In 2000 EUPHA entrusted us with organising its 12th European conference in Oslo in October 2004.
